Is there a way by which we can block all the connections from a country on Cisco ASA, without we manually defining a ACL.

Hi All,

We have a server which should be accessed by all the countries except few. So, wanted to know is there any by which we can block all the IP's beloning to a country on our ASA.

This can be achieved by manually creating object group and calling that in an ACL. But we need to keep updating this and may result in slowness. But is there any feature in ASA or version of IOS where this above can achieved without having to manually create an ACL.

Below is the Hardware model and IOS version of ASA

Hardware:   ASA5520-K8

IOS Version: 8.2(1)

Thanks!

Regards

Sunitha

I'm not aware of any geolocation services available on an ASA (or IOS).

Geolocation services are typically handled by devices such as a GSS (in a Cisco shop) or server load balancer such as F5 BigIP GTM or Citrix Netscaler.
