issue with logrot.pl in LMS 3.1 - config removed

I just observed the following issue with logrot.p in LMS 3.1:

the GUI to configure logrot was not yet used - thus the table on CS > Server > Admin > Log Rotation is empty.

configuring logrot form CLI with

logrot.pl -c

will save the configuration in NMSROOT/objects/logrot/logrot.conf

it is possible *not* to define a compress format - at least there will be no error reported.

calling logrot again from CLI gives the option to change the settings. So far no problem.

But navigating now to the following LMS page

CS > Serve > Admin > Log Rotation

removes all settings in logrot.conf.

It is only necessary to navigate to this page, it is not necessary to change anything - just calling this page removes all settings form logrot.conf.

I currently have not the time to troubleshoot this in detail. But I was able to recreate it if I leave out the compress format when configuring logrot from CLI.

anybody else observed an issue similar to this?

I can reproduce. Compression is an optional field, and it seems when they wrote the GUI on top of my tool, they didn't take that into account. I'll see if I can fix it.
