Anyone knows if LMS 2.5.1 support JRE 1.5?

It does not support JRE 1.5. The latest support looks to be JRE 1.4.2_10 with a patch loaded from this link:

Good thing is that LMS doesn't waste time on checking you java until it realy needs it.

Right now only certain Campus pages require the "supported" java version. The rest of LMS works with most java's.
