Known problems with TFTP and 2800 routers?

Hello everybody,

I've run into a very odd problem. I am unable to copy anything (configs, or binaries) from my router (a 2801) to a TFTP server. I get timed out every time.

I've verified network connectivity, there are no firewalls blocking it, and the service is running properly. As a side note, I am able to save my config from a 3550 switch sitting on the same network to the same TFTP server...with no problem. This only occurs with my 2801 router.

Any guidance would be helpful!

Thanks,

Sean

Check your access-lists on the 2801

Try to use ftp as a workaround.

There is a communication issue somewhere.

Hi Sean,

Did you enable TFTP in your router?

conf t

tftp flash:

end

You dont need this if you copy from the router to the server.

You would need it if the router is the tftp server
