Hi, I am working in a network design for a future implementation. I have to select two switches as a core, these must be conected with each other. On the access must be 7 switches which suport Gigabit and have 4SFP each one, on the distribution switches I must select 3 switches which support 10/100 MBPS and POE.

I have to consider just Cisco switches and 3COM.

All switches preferible must be conected as redundant in one stack.

I am looking forward for any suggestion.

I think for core Catalyst 6500 series, for access Catalyst 4900 series and for distribution Catalyst 3750 series will be best considering design for future implementation.
