license for LMS 3.1

A customer has LMS 3.0 + SAS contract. Can he use the license file from LMS 3.0 for LMS 3.1 EVAL?? Or has he to order the upgrade CWLMS-3.1-100SRK9? Thank you.

Re: license for LMS 3.1

He should be able to order 3.1 using his SAS contract number through the Upgrade Tool on Cisco's website, with no charge. LMS 3.1 accepts the license of 3.0.

Re: license for LMS 3.1

If you install CiscoWorks LMS 3.1 without a license, it will go into eval mode and will work for 90 days. Ensure you purchase a license and install it before the 90-day expiration because there are no extensions.

For a customer with LMS 3.0 and SAS they can use the Product Upgrade Tool to request the new media be sent to them. LMS 3.1 is very large and the business unit that produces it decided against a downloadable option.

Product Upgrade Tool:

(have your SR/SO number or speak with your sales account team to get that contract info)

Thank you. So I can use the license file from LMS 3.0 for LMS 3.1. Is it correct?

Re: license for LMS 3.1

Yes, because it's a free upgrade from 3.0 to 3.1.

Re: license for LMS 3.1

Hi,

thank you. I know it. But the question is - can I use the same license file from LMS 3.0 to LMS 3.1? So when I will install LMS 3.1 (no upgrade) - can I use the license file from LMS 3.0?? When I have SAS for LMS 3.0.
