LMS 2.5.1 and ACS - devices unreachable

Hi, collegues.

I have the following problem after integrating LMS 2.5.1 with ACS.

All the devices on the topology map of CAmpus manager are red and marked "unreachable". The problem solves after changing from ACS-module to local-auth module and then again to ACS. But the problem repeats again very soon.

What may ba the problem, any suggestions?

A device in DCR is mapped to a device in ACS based on IP address of that device in DCR and ACS. If a device in DCR has no IP address, then it's display_name in DCR is mapped to host-names available in ACS.

Thus, if you are using ACS, please ensure that you have defined devices on your ACS server

because otherwise, Campus Manager will not be able to discover them corectly.

When ACS mode is enabled in CiscoWorks, all functions of CiscoWorks will first check with

the ACS server to see they have the permissions to administrate the device. If the end device is not in ACS, then the answer is no and CiscoWorks will stop processing the function. In addition, the device will not be seen in CiscoWorks applications. If

CiscoWorks is then taken out of ACS mode, the devices WILL appear, and can be managed.
