These are really just things you can do for any device that is not working in CiscoWorks correctly.
Log into the switch and copy run to start. Double check that the device is reachable from topology services. Check in DFM for any alerts for that device. Check the device credentials and credentials verification report.
There is also a report "startup running out of sync" in RME that will let you know if a device has different information in running than startup.
