LMS 3.1 IPM 4.1 database type

My boss really likes the data from IPM and would like to use a 3rd party tool to go against the data for some additional reporting and data mining. Could you please tell me exactly what type of database it is

(Informix?) and what if any 3rd party tools might be available that you would recommend to use against it.

Any pointers are appreciated.

The database is Adaptive Server Anywhere (a Sybase derivative). Cisco does not support external access to the LMS databases. We recommend you use the provided CLI tool (ipm) to export data.
