LMS 3.2.1 RCP Failed

Hi,

I am using LMS 3.2.1 and unable to do the Software Repository job via RCP, because of the below error message.

Problem:

SW1#copy flash1:c2960s-universalk9-mz.150-1.SE.bin rcp://cwuser@CW-IPAddress:/CSCOpx/temp/rep_sw_4972128000394429365

Address or name of remote host [CW-IPAddress]? CW-IPAddress

Destination username [cwuser]? cwuser

Destination filename [D:/CSCOpx/temp/rep_sw_4972128000394429365]? D:/CSCOpx/temp/rep_sw_4972128000394429365

Writing D:/CSCOpx/temp/rep_sw_4972128000394429365

%Error opening rcp://cwuser@ CW-IPAddress /D:/CSCOpx/temp/rep_sw_4972128000394429365 (Undefined error)

LDNW-STKT-F00-SW2#copy flash1:c2960s-universalk9-mz.150-1.SE.bin tftp:// CW-IPAddress /rep_sw_1225718452630721792

Address or name of remote host [CW-IPAddress]? CW-IPAddress

Destination filename [rep_sw_1225718452630721792]?

!!!!.!!.!.!.!!.!!!!!!.!.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.!!!!!!!!.!.!.!!!

SW1#

In the device, below are the rcp configurations

ip rcmd rcp-enable

ip rcmd remote-username cwuser

And also in the CS->Server->Admin->System Preferences, RCP user is configured as cwuser. Please advise, if I need to configure it some other settings.

Attached is the software deployment preferences.

Question:

Although CiscoWorks can successfully do the Inventory  Collection and Sync Archive job of the same device.

Also as you can see  above CiscoWorks can do Software Repository job via TFTP. As TFTP is not  reliable, RCP is TCP protocol, I want to use RCP.

Please advise that why RCP is failing and how I  can correct the RCP issue.

Thanks

Re: LMS 3.2.1 RCP Failed

This issue is resolved itself by rebooting the CiscoWorks Server.
