LMS 3.2 on IPv6 Server

Hello,

I'am currently facing an issue with LMS 3.2 installed on Windows 2008 Std 64bit with IPv6 enabled.

It looks like LMS Web server (Apache) does not listen on the IPv6 address of the server but only on the IPv4. However, server DNS entry has been done for both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses. Consequently, all the dual-stack clients are trying first to reach server using IPv6 and then fallback to IPv4, which leads to very long response times.

Is that a known issue ? Is there any way to fix it without disabling IPv6 on the server ?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Regards,

Nicolas

LMS is configured to only support IPv4 for client connections.  The only workaround would be to connect to the server by IP.  However, this will break when trying to use Topology Services.  In that case, the server's hostname must resolve to the IPv4 address.  This would mean that either the clients would need local hosts file entries for the server, or you need to remove the AAAA record for this server from DNS.
