Hi All,

i recently migrated to latest LMS 3.2 and have a problem with the discovery of our Bladecenter SAN Switches 9124 OEM bought from IBM.

an snmp-walk shows:

SNMPv2-MIB::sysDescr.0 = STRING: Cisco SAN-OS(tm) m9100, Software (m9100-s2ek9-mz), Version 3.1(3a), RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2) Copyright (c) 2002-2005 by Cisco Systems, Inc. Compiled 5/22/2007 17:00:00

SNMPv2-MIB::sysObjectID.0 = OID: SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.9.12.3.1.3.601

is it known, aren't they supported in LMS due to OEM?

Thanks for a hint,

Simon

Hi SImon,

Here is the list of the supported devices and OIDs for LMS 3.2

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/ciscoworks_lan_management_solution/3.2/device_support/table/lms32sdt.html

Your device is not in the list, hence not supported.

Cisco MDS 9124e Multiservice Modular Switch is supported, it's sysobjectid is: 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.12.3.1.3.606

that's weird, it's the same Hardware than Cisco's MDS 9124 with OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.12.3.1.3.587, which is supported

See: http://www.cisco.com/web/partners/downloads/sell/technology/datacenter/dcadvantage_osm.xls

Well the oid of your device is 1.3.601 and that is not in the list of supported hardware.

At the most on our side you can open a TAC case and request an enhancement. I don't see what else can be done at this point.
