LMS 3.2 Problem Discovering OEM Bladecenter SAN Switch

Hi All,

i recently migrated to latest LMS 3.2 and have a problem with the discovery of our Bladecenter SAN Switches 9124 OEM bought from IBM.

an snmp-walk shows:

SNMPv2-MIB::sysDescr.0 = STRING: Cisco SAN-OS(tm) m9100, Software (m9100-s2ek9-mz), Version 3.1(3a), RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2) Copyright (c) 2002-2005 by Cisco Systems, Inc. Compiled 5/22/2007 17:00:00

SNMPv2-MIB::sysObjectID.0 = OID: SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.9.12.3.1.3.601

is it known, aren't they supported in LMS due to OEM?

Hi SImon,

Here is the list of the supported devices and OIDs for LMS 3.2

Your device is not in the list, hence not supported.

Cisco MDS 9124e Multiservice Modular Switch is supported, it's sysobjectid is: 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.12.3.1.3.606

that's weird, it's the same Hardware than Cisco's MDS 9124 with OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.12.3.1.3.587, which is supported

Well the oid of your device is 1.3.601 and that is not in the list of supported hardware.

At the most on our side you can open a TAC case and request an enhancement. I don't see what else can be done at this point.
