Hi,
LMS 4.0 shows "could not detect SSH protocols running on the device. Failed to fetch config using SCP.Connection timed out: connect Verify SCP is enabled or not."
SSH and SCP are enabled on all of our switches. On some switches it works on other not. I can SSH with teraterm or putty to all switches without error.
The logging of the switch shows following entry:
SSH-4-SSH2_UNEXPECTED_MSG: Unexpected message type has arrived. Terminating the connection
Any Idea?
Best regards,
Hubert

Different SSH version support on the devices perhaps?

No, on all switches is ssh v2 enabled.

I there possibly a known hosts file on your LMS server that has stored an older version of the device's RSA key? A recent upgrade of IOS or change in the domain name could cause such a mismatch.

Where can I find the file with the RSA keys in LMS? My server is a win 2008R2.

Hi,
I didn't change the domain-name and did no upgrade of the IOS. I used the same templates and IOS for the switches which will be accessible for LMS and these which are not accessible.
Cheers,
Hubert

Ok, it seems I sovled it.
I deleted the failed devices from DCR and then added them manually. Now LMS fetches the configs correctly.
Cheers,
Hubert
