LMS 4.1 - Error while downloading package information from Cisco.com

I just installed 4.1 over top of 4.0.1.  I also installed the lms41-win-Oct2011-su2-0 Apache patch and the other 2 patches I found on CCO:

CSCsz74186

CSCts15631 (What is this for?  Bug tool says "It's a secret!")

Now I am trying to check for software updates from Admin => Software Center => Software update.  I check Lan Management Solution 4.1.0 box and click Select Updates.  I then enter the username and password and leave the proxy user and password blank as the server I am using does not require authentication. Then click Next.  The result is:

Error while downloading package information from Cisco.com for the selected  products. See the d:/software/CSCOpx/log/psu.log file for details.

The relevant lines from psu.log:

If I enter a username and password in the proxy fields I get the same UI message, but nothing gets logged in psu.log

Similarly, when I try and download device package updates I get either the message above (using IE) or the message below (using FF):

Connection to Cisco.com failed. Please check d:/software/CSCOpx/log/psu.log file for details. Download operation cannot proceed.

And psu.log contains:

Looking at packet captures I see traffic coming from CCO to the server.

This is running on W2K8 R2.  No ACS integration.

Help?

LMS 4.1 - Error while downloading package information from Cisco

I opened a case with TAC.  The solution was rather involved.  There was a corrupt config file and some other corrupt DB that had to be rebuilt with a perl script - sorry, I can't remember what it was.  In the end it still didn't work quite right.  I had to download some of the packages individually before I could get the rest of them to download and install.  I am not convinced it is completely fixed.  I won't know until there are more packages to download.

Bottom line is that you should open a case with TAC.
