LMS 4.2.4 support with ASR9k

Hi,

Is there a way to correctly display ASR9k in Cisco view? I can see a ASR9006 chassis with fans, no RSP, and Unsupportd Cards display; or ASR9001 with no PSU, and no cards.

I have a following hardware config:

ASR 9001

NAME: "module 0/RSP0/CPU0", DESCR: "ASR 9001, Route Switch Processor with 8GB memory"

PID: ASR9001-RP, VID: V01 ,

NAME: "module 0/0/CPU0", DESCR: "ASR 9001, Modular Line Card"

PID: ASR9001-LC, VID: V01 ,

NAME: "module 0/0/0", DESCR: "ASR 9000 20-port 1GE Modular Port Adapter"

PID: A9K-MPA-20X1GE, VID: V02,

NAME: "module 0/0/2", DESCR: "ASR 9000 Virtual Module"

PID: A9K-MODULEv, VID: N/A, SN: N/A

ASR9006

NAME: "module 0/RSP0/CPU0", DESCR: "ASR9K Route Switch Processor with 440G/slot Fabric and 6GB "

PID: A9K-RSP440-TR, VID: V04,

NAME: "module 0/RSP1/CPU0", DESCR: "ASR9K Route Switch Processor with 440G/slot Fabric and 6GB "

PID: A9K-RSP440-TR, VID: V04,

NAME: "module 0/0/CPU0", DESCR: "80G Modular Linecard, Packet Transport Optimized"

PID: A9K-MOD80-TR, VID: V05,

NAME: "module 0/0/0", DESCR: "ASR 9000 2-port 10GE Modular Port Adapter"

PID: A9K-MPA-2X10GE, VID: V03,

NAME: "module 0/0/1", DESCR: "ASR 9000 20-port 1GE Modular Port Adapter"

PID: A9K-MPA-20X1GE, VID: V02,

NAME: "module 0/1/CPU0", DESCR: "80G Modular Linecard, Packet Transport Optimized"

PID: A9K-MOD80-TR, VID: V05,

NAME: "module 0/1/0", DESCR: "ASR 9000 2-port 10GE Modular Port Adapter"

PID: A9K-MPA-2X10GE, VID: V03,

CiscoView is updated with "ASR9000         3.0         ASR 9000 Device Package".

What else can I try to make it work?

Regards,

Krzysztof

Those should be supported according the the ASR 9k CiscoView package release notes.

Do you havee the prerequisite:

     SwitchAddlets.cv50.v1-41

also installed?

I asume you've confirmed your credentials work (via device center credential check). Are you using SNMP v3 or v2?

I have SwitchAddlets.cv50.v1-42 and SNMP v2 running. The only big difference is that I'm using the LMS in vrf.

Credentials work, because I can see part of the device - chassis, PSU, but neither RSP nor line cards.

Hmm OK. I'd expect it should work then.

I've not managed a 9k via VRF personally but I did once have an issue with managing a Nexus 7k with mltiple VDCs. I ended up opening a TAC case and they confirmed a bug. It took about two months, but they eventually released a fix for me.
