For those who might have missed it, take note that LMS 4.2.4 was released in late July.
Among the items it adds (a lot of bug fixes - full list in Release Notes) is support for Java plug-in version 1.7. I know there have been numerous folks wondering when this would come out and I can confirm it is there and working - I got around to upgrading my lab server this week. I found that even the slightly newer 1.7.0_25 seems to work fine with Topology (screenshot below).
The upgrade is pretty big (over 1 GB) and took about 20-30 minutes to run but it installed flawlessly on my soft appliance system.
