LMS, CSM, QPM, VMS... HTTP Link device on CIC

Hi to all,

I have integrated some http link reference into CIC like Device Center anc Cisco View, specified into the http link the device IP.

Is it possible integrate other http reference (VMS, QPM or CSM) with the device ip address?

I integrate this links

http://HOST:1741/cwhp/device.center.do?device=<deviceIP>

http://HOST:1741/CVng/chassis.do?deviceip=<deviceIP>

there are other function.do like chassis.do that I can use for the other suite product?

Thans a lot!

Leonardo

Note: links in CS 2.2 were never really designed to be bookmarkable, so you may run into problems there. The reason we have so many pop-ups in LMS 2.5+ was to allow people to more easily bookmark commonly used pages.

When we do integration with NMSes such as OpenView, we provide a launch point into CiscoView and DC. So you've got the two important ones in terms of per-device tools. Since both of these are part of Common Services, that covers CSM. VHM and QPM use an older version of Common Services, but they can still provide CiscoView access (if installed).

The upcoming QPM 4.0 may offer other per-device launch points for monitoring purposes, but I have not played with it yet.

thanks Joe,

so I've another question about syslog.log...

I know that there in CIC a process named "nmlogd" who capture syslog information coming from CW (process status, devices syslog, ecc..).

I've to configure this process with CW ip address?

This process can retrive the syslog.log message information from CW into CIC?

I've LMS 2.6 installed on windows 2003.

I think you mean nco_p_syslog (i.e. the CIC syslog message mediator), correct? If so, this process is designed to read messages directly from a local syslog daemon either through a pipe or from a message file. In this case, it would not be possible to read messages from the remote CiscoWorks syslog.log. You could, however, have devices send messages to both the CiscoWorks and CIC servers.

ok.

I found on Common Services 3.0.5, the link http/s to the CW process status.

I cannot found the link http/s of Common Services 2.2 sp2 process status.

Any helps?
