Many of LMS features can work without CDP. RME, DFM, and IPM can all operate just fine with CDP disabled on all of your devices. If you have LMS 3.0.1 and higher, you can even do network discovery using non-CDP protocols such as ping sweeps, routing tables, ARP tables, etc.
However, the topology feature of Campus Manager still requires CDP. Without CDP, the full layer 2 topology cannot be built. While Campus can still manage device that do not have CDP enabled, the devices will all appear as disconnected on the Topology Map.
