LMS2.5 Changing device credentials

Hi,

I have 100+ switches managed through LMS 2.5. We are going to change the "primary credential" from a telnet password to a TACACS userid and password. Is there a way to broadcast this change instead of going into the "Credential Template" for each switch to make the change?

Are you trying to use LMS 2.5 to modify the configs?

Or are you simply asking how to update the credentials that LMS 2.5 will use to communicate with the dveices after the change is made?

Go to Common Services -> Device and Credentials -> Device Management

Select the devices that have the same credentials

Click on Edit

This will open up the Device Properties window

On the left side of the frame, you will see the list of devices you selected, and underneath it will say:

"Select a device above then edit its information"

Do NOT select any device, simply click on Next

Enter the proper credentials and click on Finish

That should take care of all the devices at the same time.

So either you select 100+ devices in the tree, or you find a way to put these devices in a group or a few groups and select these.
