I'm having one problem with lms 2.5 data collector process.
On every time a data collection runs, it queries the switch with the snmp community configured on DCR.
If the switch is running MSTP (multiple spanning tree), it also send another query with community appended with mst instance, and this result in snmp auth failed trap.
Sample:
switch a -> running STP -> community public
-> lms queries switch a with community public
switch b -> running MSTP -> community public
-> lms queries switch b with community public
-> lms queries switch b with community public@mst-1
-> lms queries switch b with community public@mst-2
the last two queries result in auth failed trap sent and several alerts included on DFM.
This happen all the times data collector runs.
Disabling auth failed traps on switch solves the problem, but I would like a better solution that don't loose real auth failed traps.
