DFM installation adds "set ip:do_tcp_fusion=0x0" to the /etc/systems file.
Since in my case this happens inside a nonglobal zone, this has no effect.
I could not find any documentation about this, so what's the purpose of this change? Is it still needed or perhaps just a leftover workaround for Sun Bug ID 6348581 (see http://sunsolve.sun.com/search/document.do?assetkey=1-26-102667-1)?

Last I heard, this was necessary to workaround some EMC/Smarts issues with the DFM engine. Without this change, DFM may not work properly.
