LMS4.2: 3 fast growing logfiles - could not recognize debugging activated

Hi,

Does anybody experienced fast growing with this logs and got a solution?

  • troubleShooting.log
  • CAMServerCollection.log
  • ConfigManagementServer.log

with some 100 entries for same second and 1GB per day. No other problems.

When I was checking the customers LMS, I could'nt not recognize that any debugging is activated from the perspective of what the GUI is telling me. How can I check that debugging is realy not activated? Are there known issues with between real debugging settings and that what the GUI shows?

many thx f hints, Steffen

LMS4.2: 3 fast growing logfiles - could not recognize debugging

Hi Steffen,

Looks like NetConfig log level was enabled in DEBUG mode which in turn made "troubleShooting.log"

in GB level. Log size will grow if we access below pages in GUI with DEBUG mode.

Inventory > Dashboards > Device Status

Monitor > Troubleshooting Tools > Troubleshooting Workflows

Change the log level to INFO mode for "Netconfig" under Admin > System > Debug

Settings > Config and Image Management Debugging settings.

Note: Just like "NetConfig" check it for achive mgmt as well..

Also ,you should configure the Log Rotation of  the logs to avoid such suituations
