Manage switches 3550-24 with CiscoView 6.1

CiscoView 6.1 shows me the initial figure of the 3550-24 switch but it does not display the Configuration window. The IE browser shows this:

address..http://172.20.1.2/homepage.htm

"The Page Cannot Be Found"

Here is the version of the switch (s):

IOS(tm)C3550 software

(C3550-I9Q3L2-M) Version

12.1(20)EA2, RELEAQSE SOFTWARE(fc1).

The Java Plug-In is version 1.3.1

Now,the computer that hosts the Ciscoview has all patches and hotfixes from Microsoft.

May be one of the patches messed up the Ciscoview?

Any help will be apreciated.

Open a different browser on the same computer and enter the same URL in the browser (http://172.20.1.2/homepage.htm)

Does this work?

If not, do you have the html files on your switch?

Is http server enable on the switch?

Is 172.20.1.2 reachable from the client?

Hi nhabib

1.-open different browser: no, it does not work

2.- do you have the html files on your switch? I do not know. How or where can I check this? Can I fix this?( new plug-in or something ?)

3.- Is http server enable on the switch? YES

4.- Is 172.20.1.2 reachable from the client? Yes, and also I can telnet it.

Note: they (6 swtches ) were working before. How long ago? I am not sure because normaly the switches after they are set up they do not bother. But I saw them working.

I have onle one switch working fine with Ciscoview but it has a different IOS.this one is 3550-48 ports.

To check if you have the html files on the switch, simply issue the command (in enable mode):

dir html
