I have a fresh install of VMS 2.3 using the Ciscoworks NFR kit. I am trying to add a 2821 router running 12.3(14)T5 as an IOS IPS device, but get a database error. I have installed all of Cisco's updates and patches as of 2/1/06.
Here are the steps I take to reproduce the problem:
Login into Ciscoworks webpage.
VPN/Security Management Solution.
Management Center.
IPS Sensors (opens new window).
Devices -> Sensors.
Put checkmark in "Global" group, click Add.
Import configuration from device, click Next.
On the "Select Sensor Group" page, click Next.
At this point, this error is displayed:
"A database error occurred while attempting to get the list of known anti virus versions.ASA Error -141: Table 'sys_default_secondary' not found
".
This is in a non-production environment, so I could try to uninstall and reinstall Ciscoworks if needed, but I really don't want to spend the whole day doing that.
Any suggestions? Is there a way to start a new database if this one is corrupted somehow?
Thanks,
Kevin

try doing a reinstall of IPSMC, this has resolved a similiar issue.

I fixed my issue by uninstalling IDSMC 2.0.2 then installing 2.2 instead of trying to upgrade.
