Hello,
I am looking for a mib that will allow me to read/set the duplex setting of an interface.
To read the current operating status I can use ETHERLIKE-MIB::dot3StatsDuplexStatus
which is a ReadOnly status.
There are duplex references in MAU-MIB (DOT3-MAU-MIB.my) but the variables needed don't
seem to be supported by my image. Am I SOL?
I am running IOS 12.2(25)SG on a Catalyst 4507 switch. The image is
cat4500-ipbasek9-mz.122-25.SG.bin
Thanks in advance,
Barry

The DOT3-MAU-MIB is supported by this code, and it looks like configuration of the speed and duplex is supported provided auto-negotiate is disabled. However, I do not have a 4500 running 12.2(25)SG handy with which to test. What exactly are you trying to set, and what errors do you get?
Oh, and the Canes are most likely going to win ;-).

I have a 4507 in the lab, ran a few quick polls on some objects from this MIB and didn't see a problem.
Like jclarke mentions, which objects are you polling and what are your results?

I read DOT3-MAU-MIB many times and it never clicked that I could write to ifMauDefaultType. That was the ticket. Thanks for gently pushing me in the right direction.
The oilers are a lock for the cup after tonights win. :)
