Re: MIB structure

Beyond the SNMP RFCs (e.g. RFC2578 on the SMIv2) a book I always keep handy is "SNMP, SNMPv2, SNMPv3, and RMON 1 and 2" by Stallings (http://www.amazon.com/SNMP-SNMPv2-SNMPv3-RMON-3rd/dp/0201485346/sr=8-1/qid=1158639398/ref=pd_bbs_1/002-5709561-3027215?ie=UTF8&s=books). When new engineers join the NMS TAC team at Cisco, we make sure they get a copy of this book. It explains MIB structure, and the SNMP protocol versions in great detail.
