Migrate from snmpv2 to snmpv3

Hi all,

I have this issue: with my old configuration I had 2 community A (RO) and B (RW).

Configuration:

snmp-server community A RO

snmp-server community B RW

Now I have to migrate to snmpv3.

How can I reproduce the same scenario?

I have to configure 2 group (A and B) and 2 user associated to?

Can someone help me?

Thanks in advance

Gianluca

Re: Migrate from snmpv2 to snmpv3

Hi Davistan, here you are my configuration:

snmp-server group group0 v3 priv write restricted

snmp-server group group1 v3 priv

snmp-server user user1 group0 v3 auth md5 password1 priv password2

snmp-server user user2 group1 v3 auth md5 password3 priv password4

snmp-server host 1.1.1.1 version 3 priv user2 envmon bgp config entity snmp

In this way I'd like to have group0 as Read Only and gorup1 as RW.

Is it correct?

Thanks a lot

Gianluca
