I have a 3845 running 12.3 with SDM 2.3.1. In the SDM Monitor tab the interface scroll window only has about half the interfaces available to monitor. Any idea why they don't show up?

Exactly what version of IOS is running on this 3845, and which interfaces are missing? Which show up?

Sorry - I wrote from home and recollected wrong - the IOS is 12.4(3e) and SDM is 2.4.
I have two redundant 3845 routers (using glbp)and the SDM monitor shows or doesn't show exactly the same interfaces. I've attached a sanitized interface parameters list from the running cfg of one router. I've put a # after ones that show and ? after those that don't. I wouldn't expect the null or shutdown interfaces to be monitor capable but I would expect the others and can't see any pattern that might explain why or why not.

In what modules are these missing physical interfaces installed?
As for the subinterfaces, if you click on the main interface, are you able to bring up the Subinterface List, and see these interfaces?

The missing subinterfaces on gi0/1 are on the second built in gigabit interface, the four port fast fa0/1/0 to 3 are in WIC slot 1, and the two gigabit Ethernet NM-1GE= cards are in NM slots 3 and 4. I don't see the subinterfaces of gi3/0 or the physical interface of gi4/0. I clicked on the SDM hardware details on the home page(attached) and it says it doesn't recognize either NM-1GE= in slots 3 or 4. Is there a clue there?
Clicking on the physical interface (left or right) in the devices to monitor window doesn't do anything.

The NM-1GE is not supported by SDM. See http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/secursw/ps5318/prod_release_note09186a00808176c0.html for a list of supported network modules.
The subinterfaces should be visible when you edit connections and interfaces. See http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/secursw/ps5318/products_user_guide_chapter09186a008081b48c.html#wp1117079 for more details.

Thanks for the links. Any idea why the NM-1GE isn't supported or if it will be? I thought this was a fairly common module.
Yes, the interfaces are visible in the edit tab of the interface configuration page but I was hoping to be able to monitor them using SDM.

Unfortunately, I do not. I did some research, and it does not appear that there has even been a request for NM-1GE support. You might consider opening a TAC service request to see if this is planned.
As for monitoring, you might want to checkout some Open Source SNMP-based monitoring solutions like MRTG (http://oss.oetiker.ch/mrtg/) or Cacti (http://cacti.net/) or a more complete Open Source NMS like Nagios (http://nagios.org/).
