Modem connects, but I can't type logins

Hello all, I have a router configured for simple modem backup for OOB managment. The modem connects to the router and I see warning banners as well as login prompts. I try to type the login credentials, but nothing shows up and the box gives a timeout error.

line aux 0

exec-timeout 0 0

logging synchronous

login local

modem InOut

transport input all

stopbits 1

speed 38400

flowcontrol hardware

thanks for any comments,

Re: Modem connects, but I can't type logins

Hi,

You need to figure out speed settings.

Does your aux port support that speed?

If you already have done that .

Try:

(config-line)#login

(config-line)#password cisco

Hi again,

You could also try:

(config-line)#autobaud
