Re: Monitor Individual Switches in a Switch Stack

Hi. The best way to go about this is by use of the CiscoStackWiseMIB. I'll show you an example. Go here:

http://jaguar.ir.miami.edu/cgi-bin/snmptransc.cgi

and in the "Object Identifier or Object Name" box, put .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.500

Select "tree translation" and you'll see all of the MIB objects this MIB supports.

Other good info:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps5023/products_white_paper09186a00801b096a.shtml

(stackwise white paper)

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/iosswrel/ps5012/prod_bulletin0900aecd803fdbd8.html

(search for "stackwise")

Or just do a search on CCO for "Stackwise" or "Stackwise MIB" and you'll find many results.
