I was just wondering if there is any not so overpriced software that would allow me to monitor a vlan network. There are approx 50 vlans in the network and I would like to monitor the sort of traffic that goes through them. Previously we used a fluke analyser but since the network hads been vlaned something that used broadcasts is no good.
The kind of things that I would like to be abel to see are, devices and what switch and port they are connected to, protocols running on devices, any errors, through-put performance on switches, any large amounts of broadcast traffic within a VLAN.
The difficult thing is that I want to be able to monitor it from a central location so the fluke is no longer any good for that as it would have to be mvoed from one vlan to the other.
