Monitoring ACL's using SNMP

I am looking into ways to monitor access-list utilisation using SNMP. Does anyone have any experience of this or actually know if it can be done?

As far as I know there is still no MIB object to give this data such as ACL utilization, hits or other ACL information.

About the only thing you can really do now with ACL's is to use the CISCO-CONFIG-COPY-MIB to pull down the config to see the ACL's.

There have been a few enhancement requests filed to try and add this support, but no timeframe.
