NAM and the IP host name resolution

Hi,

I have a NAM2 card in a Cat 6500:

application version 3.5.1a

maintenance version 2.1.3

and I have activate the "Perform IP Host Name Resolution".

But when I use the Monitor Overview, the graphs appears only after 8 to 15 seconds.

I have done some measurement:

To resolve IP host name, the NAM card communicates with my server DNS which are declared in the section "admin -> system -> Network Parameters". But, if my DNS servers don't answer to a request before 4 seconds, the NAM card tries to communicate with the "root DNS servers" (c.root-servers.net, d.root-servers.net, ...).

This behaviour isn't normal, no?

It's possible to block these requests to the "root servers"? or can I access to Operating System of the NAM to delete these parameters?
