nbar Lotus Notes

Can I granulate Lotus-Notes traffic with nbar (maybe with a pdlm)? Every LN-traffic is useing port 1352, so how can I give priority to a db-request, and keep down a replication?

Has anybody experience in handling LN-trafic?

Re: nbar Lotus Notes

Hi,

At this point, NBAR treats Notes traffic as a static protocol matching on TCP/UDP 1352. There is no sub-port classification available for Lotus Notes as yet.

Hope that helps - pls rate the post if it does.

Re: nbar Lotus Notes

Just had another thought. If you know the packet formats used for the different types of Lotus Notes traffic you are interested, you can use the custom PLDM.

Using that, you can specify which octet position within the packet you are interested in matching... you then use the 'match protocol' command within a class-map using the custom-defined protocol name.

Hope that helps - pls rate the post if it does.
