Netflow and Layer 2 on a Cisco 6513

Is it even possible to set Netflow on a port (Layer 2)?

We've done it on VLANs but can't seem to make it work on just a port (on this model switch...anyway).

That is possible with flexible netflow.

This is supported on cat6k with sup720, but not on cat4k for example.

Thanks for your reply, but there seems to be a problem somewhere about using Netflow on these model switches. Especially between Layer 2 and Layer 3. I did read in those Q&A that Flexible Netflow supports Layer 2 through 7....but

We opened a case with TAC today and they just stated only VLAN level is supported with Netflow on a 6513. That only SPAN would work and then Netflow probably wouldn't work even then.

That is curious. It should work on 6513, depending if your sup module supports FLEXIBLE netflow.

Make sure to ask your TAC to check your HW and tell you what code you need to run for flexible netflow.
