Netflow doesn't report traffic on frame relay subinterfaces

Hi,

We have a 7206 with IOS 12.1(23)E2 and even though we have CEF enabled globally and we verify that it is working on subinterfaces (eg. "show ip cef serial 1/0.426") and "ip route-cache flow" is configured on the main interface Serial1/0, we never get stats for frame relay subinterfaces ("show ip cache flow" never shows any traffic with any subinterfaces as "SrcIf" interface). With the phisical interfaces it works ok.

Does anyone know what could be the problem?

Thanks in advance.

Alfredo

I think there is some issue with the configuration. Otherwise this should work. Did you try enabling netflow on the subinterface on which Frame-relay is configured. For information on the netflow configuration on the 7200 series read the following document. http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/iosswrel/ps1826/products_configuration_guide_chapter09186a00800880f9.html#9880

Re: Netflow doesn't report traffic on frame relay subinterfaces

Thanks for your answer,

If you mean using the command "ip flow ingress" at subinterface level, this IOS version does not have this command. The possibility of enabling or disabling netflow on subinterfaces basis is available in later IOS releases, but according to docs enabling netflow on the main interface override subinterface settings.
