Network Latency on intranet ?

Network Latency?

How can I troubleshoot network latency on my ISP intranet or find what cause network latency on the

intranet?

Most of their routers and switch (are cisco).

The thing is that I have no clue at all on how to do it since there's so many many things that can cause network latency:

Applications

Switch, routers mis configured

VoIP etc.......

Help Please?

Hi

you can use few steps like benchmarking the latency in each segment of your intranet.

the best method is to do with normal icmp ping method and also keep a tab on the utilisation pattern in the intranet.

you can do this during peak and non peak hours during which you might see a difference in the load.
