Hi,
Getting some odd problems on UAT within ciscoworks showing old ip address (even on a rediscovery). Having reconfigured many addresses and devices I'm thinking it would be a prime time to reset and repopulate the entire ciscoworks databases is there an easy way of doing this?
Thanks.

What version are you using? On what platform?

Hi Robin,
to restore the whole databases just do the following:
Open a DOS shell and issue the command:
net stop crmdmgtd
Once you get the prompt back, open up the task manager and go to processes.
If any of these processes are listed, kill them manually:
sm_server
sm_authority
brstart
Now, go to CSCOpx\bin and issue the commands (case sensitive):
perl dbRestoreOrig.pl dsn=cmf dmprefix=Cmf
perl dbRestoreOrig.pl dsn=rmeng dmprefix=RME
perl dbRestoreOrig.pl dsn=dfmEpm dmprefix=EPM
perl dbRestoreOrig.pl dsn=dfmInv dmprefix=INV
perl dbRestoreOrig.pl dsn=dfmFh dmprefix=FH
Next, go to CSCOpx\campus\bin and issue the command:
perl reinitdb.pl -restore
perl reinitdb.pl -ut
To re-start the CiscoWorks application:
net start crmdmgtd
I hope that help.
Best regards,
Frank
Wait 5-10 minutes and login to CiscoWorks

If there are problems with UT, you might want to start by just clearing out the UT database and not all other databases like RME.
The steps are:
CSCOpx/campus/bin
reinitdb.pl -ut
this will clear out the UT db and nothing else. You can try clearing out ANI db as well if this doesn't work (reinitdb.pl -restore)
