I'm trying to determine how the Nexus 2000 series fabric extenders manage the SFP+ ports that they each contain. For example, on the 2148, when these ports are in use, are any of the standard RJ45 ports deactivated? Are there only allowed to be 48 active ports at a time?
I ask because I'm having trouble determining the status of the SFP+ ports. In the ifTable, it only shows Ethernet101/1/1 through Ethernet101/1/48. There are no entries for the other 4 ports. So, are these shared ports in some way? Is there somewhere else to look for their status? How are they managed with respect to the ifTable?
