As per NTP standard, the time on my devices should be synchronized with the local NTP server. I have 2 internal NTP servers. Unfortunately I am not able to synchronize my devices with those servers. The NTP updates are received but devices are not able to use those update to synchronize their local time. I tried a couple of settings but it seems that the updates that are received from servers are not accepted. Any ideas what can be the reason?
There are a few things that could be causing this. First most obvious thing to check is what is acting as the NTP server and is it sending RFC compliant NTP messages. Windows servers for example can use SNTP (Simple Network Time Protocol) and router/switches have problems with that.
