OID for IPSLA ICMP jitter

Hi,

I have configured a IP sla with ICMP jitter as pasted below.I would like to collect latency,jitter and loss using snmp. should i use object rttMonJitterStatsEntry(1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.42.1.3.5.1) or ciscoIpSlaJitterMIBObjects(1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.635.1). Also would like to know the difference between them.

ip sla ABC

icmp-jitter x.x.x.x source-ip y.y.y.y num-packets 50 interval 300

ip sla schedule ABC life forever start-time now

IOS : c1900-universalk9-mz.SPA.152-2.T.bin

> to collect data and details for ICMP-Jitter operation. This MIB is an extension to the CISCO-RTTMON-MIB for ICMP  operations. The ICMP Jitter operation provides capability to measure metrics such as RTT (Round Trip Time), Jitter, packet loss, one-way latency by sending ICMP TIMESTAMP stream to the destination devices. First of all to know the index/details of the configured operations we can determine it through : rttMonLatestIcmpJitterOperTable A table which contains the status of latest ICMP Jitter operation. Each conceptual row corresponds to a ICMP jitter probe defined in rttMonCtrlAdminTable and has same index as rttMonCtrlAdminTable. Could you help with the OID for UDP jitter. I'm looking fo statistics for latency,jitter and packet loss(DS,SD).

I have installed solarwinds NPM, I know how to configure snmp., but I don't know much about OID. Can please vaguely explain me that.

Hello,

First you need to understand how SNMP works, So every device will have a MIB which contains OID. MIB is a tree structure which can be parsed to get values. You need to spend some time reading may be 4-5 hours for basic undertsanding.
