OID within a Catalyst MIB which shows the CatOS or IOS?

Hi: Would anyone happen to know what is the OID that has the CatOS or IOS version that is running on a switch? This is somwhere under the cisco private mib that I am not able to figure it out.

No there is no such OID but there is 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.1.0 or sysDescr.0 in mib2 but it will give you something like this :

Cisco Internetwork Operating System Software

IOS (tm) C3750 Software (C3750-I9K91-M), Version 12.2(20)SE2, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

Copyright (c) 1986-2004 by cisco Systems, Inc.

You now have the nice task to filter the IOS catos version...
