Out-of-Sync for MetroSwitch3400 Devices

Hello

In our Network we have installed MetroSwitch3400 devices, these devices report everey day out-of-sync for configuration. The difference shows ntp-clockperiod entry.

All other devices do not show this entry.

Can someone help? Thanks

Re: Out-of-Sync for MetroSwitch3400 Devices

It seems to indicate the system clock on the MetroSwitch3400s get inaccurate, causing the autogeneration of "ntp-clockperiod entry" that tries to compensate:

Re: Out-of-Sync for MetroSwitch3400 Devices

This command should be excluded from checking, but it seems we've been slipping in adding default exclude commands. This is very easy to correct, though. Go to RME > Admin > Config Mgmt > Exclude Commands, select your switch type, and add:

end,exec-timeout,length,width,certificate,ntp clock-period

That should take care of all of the default excludes that an IOS device should have. Feel free to extend this list for any device type if there are other uninteresting commands you wish to exclude.
