'Phantom' devices in Ciscoworks

Hi All,

We've recently upgraded CiscoWorks and started from scratch by discovering our devices rather than doing any kind of database transfer. This worked quite well for us except that there is now some 'devices' in the DCR and RME that shouldn't be there; e.g. IP addresses such as XXX.XXX.XXX.000 and other devices that are clearly not Cisco kit. They are not really causing any great problems other than filling the unsuccessful devices list in Archive Management and failing in Inventory Collection.

However, when I try to delete them by searching for them in RME or DCR they cannot be found - is there some other way to get rid of them? We're running LMS 3.2 and RME 4.3.1.

There is a procedure you can get from TAC to remove phantom devices from the RME database directly.
