Yes port channel is a method by which you can aggregate ports so that in theory the combined bandwidth of the port is the sum of the individual port's bandwidth. These ports then act like a single logical link.You need to do these to configure a port channel:
- configure the physical interface
- configure the port channel group
- configure the vlan
Its also called as EtherChannel link.
