Re: Possibility Usertracking with 3rd party switches
This is not possible. For User Tracking to acquire end hosts on switches, those switches must be Data Collected by Campus Manager. This requires that Campus has some code which describes the switch. You cannot simply add a sysObjectID to a file, and have Campus Manager understand how to manage a switch. Campus Manager is only designed to work with Cisco equipment.
What you will see in this situation is that the Microsense switches will themselves show up as end hosts unless they are trunking to the Cisco switches. In that case, UT will ignore these Cisco switch ports (by default). You can configure UT to acquire end hosts on those trunk ports, however, by going to Campus Manager > Admin > User Tracking > Acquisition > Configure Trunk for End Host Discovery.
