Problem with Reports usning Pollers on LMS v.4

     Dears

Kindly I Need your Help as I have problem with My LMS Server

the description of the problem as following :

I have created Pollers to Poll specific Interfaces Availability and Utilization

when I try to create Report using those Pollers for Last 1 Day, Report created successfully,

But when I create Report using those Pollers for period more than one day, Reports is give me error says :

Status
Job Status:Partially Successful
Job Failure Reason (if any):No data to generate the report

this is Happen for All my reports at LMS server

I have LMS server V.4 and  I need your Support

Hi Mohamed,

It could be a database issue ,for a quick fix . Reintialize the UPM dataase as suggested in my last reply.

Hi Mohamed,

first check if your summarisation job are running fine or they are failing ?  they should be running to have the DATA for more than 24 hour.

1. do not delete any summarisation job (Admin -> Job Browser).

2.check the below settings:

Admin > Network > Purge Settings   > Performance data purge settings

Dear Afroz

thanks for your Replay

I have checked what have you posted and I found the below :

Performance Data Purge Settings >

Poller failure records older than : 1

and I have changed it to 180 days

I have tried to create Another Report but its failed or shall I wait for Tomorrow

Yes , you need to wait for atleast a day and then check the report.

Hi Mohamed,

Are the  "summarisation job" running  ? ( Admin > Job Browser)

Can you try to run the same job for few devices ?

Hi Mohamed,

Name of the Job is summarisation job (which can be found under Admin -> Job Browser).
2. setup appropriate data purge policy to in HUM -> Admin -> System Preferences
-> Data Purge, so that you can have the data to run the report.

The default settings are:
# 5 Minute's Summarization records-3 days
# 30 Minute's Summarization records-15 days
# 3 Hour Summarization records-90 days
# 12 Hour Summarization records-365 days
# Poller failure records-1 day
# Threshold violation records-180 days
# Audit trail records-90 days
# TrendWatch violation records-180 days
# Status change details records-15 days

If above all is fine then it could be a database issue , you can reintialze the database for UPM :

NOTE: if we do this , you need to re-configure the user defined poller again.

here are the steps to do re-init:

1. stop the LMS CiscoWorks services.

2. Run "CSCOpx/bin/perl CSCOpx/bin/dbRestoreOrig.pl dsn=upm dmprefix=UPM .

3. Start the CiscoWorks services.
