I would appreciate if someone's fresh pair of eyes help me figure out my problem with importing files from remote routers into the software repository in CiscoWorks.

I submit a job and end up with a failure but the failure is basically about not being able to put file where it was said to be put:

--------------------------

Adding Image C:\PROGRA~1\CSCOpx\files\rme\jobs\swim\1837\wlanui.tar to Software Library

Failed to add wlanui.tar.

Reason : Exception occurred while getting Image Attributes

Everything looks good here except that wlan.tar is not a valid device image, and cannot be imported into the SWIM repository. The system image, c870-advipservicesk9-mz.124-4.T7.bin, however, was properly added to your repository.

Yeah :-)

I figured it out a bit later. Thanks a lot, man.

By the way, is there any way to tell CW to allow storing files in the repository other than IOS images?

Eugene

The repository supports CatOS, PIX OS, etc. images. However, it only for software and firmware images. You cannot store arbitrary files there.
