Question about Cisco product for "icmp reply / no reply" monitoring

Hi all!

I'm looking for appropriate Cisco product for monitoring about 300 device with icmp. Result should be in some obvious graphics (not just events in log). What do you think - LMS (with DFM and IPM) or SMNS?

Ping should be from _origin_server_, not from a router on a way.

Money is not a question. Ability to monitor VPN 3020 concentrator performance would be a great plus!

The DFM portion of LMS does some ICMP polling, but you won't get the graphs you are referring to. You might want to look at the What's Up Gold Portion of SNMS to do the ICMP polling and it has graphs and reports.

But SNMS is positioned as solution for 40 and less devices. Is it possible to monotior 300+ devs in it?

WhatsUp 2006 Pro is able to do it, but it's not native Cisco product (in spite of the fact that SNMS build on WhatsUp). Then it's better to use free cacti+rrdtool.
